Hello I'm new at using Hjack This, as wellas, posting for help. I've read that a lot of good advice can be gained from posting Hjack logs in this bulletin board. So I'm hoping to get some good advice on cleaning up my system.

Welcome to the TOM COYOTE FORUM, my name is Ken and I will be helping you with your issues. Your log has a marker in it for the Elite Toolbar which is a malware program that we need to remove.

Download the Elite Toolbar Remover from Major Geeks to your desktop.

Boot into Safemode and run the tool to remove EliteToolBar
  • Go to Start> Shut off your Computer> Restart
  • As the computer starts to boot-up, Tap the F8 KEY somewhat rapidly,
    this will bring up a menu.
  • Use the Up and Down Arrow Keys to scroll up to Safemode
  • Then press the Enter Key on your Keyboard
Reboot normally


Open HJT Scan Only, close your browser and all open windows, check this item and click on Fix Checked

Run this system cleaner

Please download ATF Cleaner by Atribune.
  • This program is for XP and Windows 2000 only
  • Double-click ATF-Cleaner.exe to run the program.
  • Under Main choose: Select All
  • Click the Empty Selected button.
