Son in Law stayed with us for the holidays for a few weeks and in this time, well it looks like we've picked up a few computer bugs. I tried picking out some of them from task manager and shutting them down and then deleting them, but at least one of them is stuck in memory and seems to respawn the others. It's pretty much taken control of the computer. my typing is interrupted by new internet explorer windows opening every few seconds or so. -would greatly appreciate any help. I can't seem to identify the suspects in the list.

I just renamed iexplorer.exe to keep the popups away. I'm using firefox but curiously, it is also showing some symptoms of the malware. I don't think i labelled my initial post properly, i suspect I should have listed it as hijack this Log, please help. But I will learn for the future. thanks again for reading my post.
I got it! It was "Look2me" that was the big problem. I took that out with a great util called "Look2me Destroyer" after i ran that, it restarts and closes down explorer (the task bar), and then reboots th machine to take it out of memory. Worked great. then i ran ewido syware 4, and flucshed out everything else. all fixed.
