Do you recognize this folder?

C:\Program Files\Common Files\fiqo

Let me know in your next post.

Jotti File Submission:
  • Please go to Jotti's malware scan
  • Copy and paste the following file path into the "File to upload & scan"box on the top of the page:
    • C:\WINDOWS\system32\icwdial.exe
  • Click on the submit button
  • Please post the results in your next reply.
I am trying to use the Jotti site but it is saying that "The file you uploaded is 0 bytes. It is very likely a firewall or a piece of malware is prohibiting you from uploading this file"
I do not know what the fiqo folder is for. Almost everything in there has a value of 0KB. The only thing with any value in the folder is fiqoh (no extention) with a value of 1.5KB
ok, please delete that fiqo folder :)

can you see if that icwdial.exe file exists in your system32 folder?
hi, can you go to jotti again and upload this file? C:\WINDOWS\system32\apcups.exe and post the results of the scan.
ok, here are the results ————————- Scanner results AntiVir Found nothing ArcaVir Found Trojan.Agent.Aek Avast Found nothing AVG Antivirus Found Downloader.Generic2.KAJ BitDefender Found nothing ClamAV Found nothing Dr.Web Found nothing F-Prot Antivirus Found nothing Fortinet Found nothing Kaspersky Anti-Virus Found Trojan-Downloader.Win32.Reqlook.d NOD32 Found Win32/TrojanDownloader.Reqlook.NAC Norman Virus Control Found nothing UNA Found nothing VirusBuster Found nothing VBA32 Found Trojan.Agent.79 (paranoid heuristics) (probable variant)
Please copy (Ctrl+C) and paste (Ctrl+V) the following text in the quote to Notepad. Save it as "All Files" and name it FixServices.bat. Please save it on your desktop.

@echo off
sc stop apcups.exe
sc stop icwdial.exe
sc delete apcups.exe
sc delete icwdial.exe
del FixServices.bat
exit

Double click FixServices.bat. A window will open and close. This is normal.

If you are having problems creating the file, a step by step visual tutorial by Nellie2 for making a batch file can be found here.

Delete these folders:

This is my post for when your computer is all clean - which it currently appears to be. Please let me know if you are experiencing any other problems with your computer.

If you are not having any more problems, we have just a couple of last steps to perform and then you're all set.

First, let's reset your hidden/system files and folders. System files are hidden for a reason and we don't want to have them openly available and susceptible to accidental deletion.
* Click Start.
* Open My Computer.
* Select the Tools menu and click Folder Options.
* Select the View tab.
* Under the Hidden files and folders heading UNSELECT Show hidden files and folders.
* CHECK the Hide protected operating system files (recommended) option.
* Click Yes to confirm.
* Click OK.
It's also a good idea to Flush your System Restore points after ridding yourself of malware:
  • Click Start | Help and Support | Undo changes to your computer with System Restore.
  • Click Create A Restore Point then click Next. Give it a name it and then click Create, then Close.
  • Close the Help and Support Center box.
  • Click Start | Run and type Cleanmgr
  • Select (C: ) then click OK.
  • Click the More Options tab.
  • Click Clean Up in the System Restore Section.
This will remove all previous restore points except the newly created one.

Now that you are clean, to help protect your computer in the future I recommend that you get the following free programs:
  • SpywareBlaster to help prevent spyware from installing in the first place.
  • SpywareGuard to catch and block spyware before it can execute.
  • IESpy-Ad to block access to malicious websites so you cannot be redirected to them from an infected site or email.
To keep your operating system up to date visit
  • Microsoft Windows Update
monthly. And to keep your system clean run these free malware scannersweekly, and be aware of what emails you open and websites you visit.

To learn more about how to protect yourself while on the internet read this article by Tony Klien: So how did I get infected in the first place?

Have a safe and happy computing day!
