please somebody could help me with this scan log and tell me what I should remove? I did this scan because I have problems with Internet Explorer: my web pages are often redirected to promotional sites and error messages appear. Besides, when I do a research with google, the results are redirected to other links. Please Help!

Then click "Fix checked" and close Hijack This!.

* Run fixwareout on the desktop.
* Click Next, then Install, make sure "Run fixit" is checked and click Finish.
* The fix will begin; follow the prompts.
* You will be asked to reboot your computer; please do so.
* Your system may take longer than usual to load; this is normal.
* Once the desktop loads a text will open (report.txt). We'll need that in a bit.

"Copy/paste" a new HijackThis! log file into this thread.

Also open this file with Notepad:

C:\fixwareout\report.txt

And paste it's contents into your next post.

:)
Thank you for your quick answer! :)

Apparently, the problem is still here: when I open internet Explorer, an error message sometimes appear and close the program.

What should I do now?
Fix this line with HijackThis!:

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [dmyos.exe] C:\WINDOWS\System32\dmyos.exe

Delete these files:

C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\DMROR.EXE

C:\WINDOWS\System32\dmyos.exe

C:\WINDOWS\system32\{8C8B8216-26C0-4EF9-BAD1-61AF08760EB6}.exe

C:\WINDOWS\system32\{283FCFF5-2829-4114-9621-54DDCE652841}.exe

Close all open windows/programs.

Browse to the C:\fixwareout folder.

Fixit.bat

This will start Fixwareout again.

After the machine reboots, post the fixwareout report and a new HijackThis! log again.
:)
in the meantime, the scan of Hijackthis! has changed: now the line you told me to fix has disappeared and the new scan log is the following:

So, basically, the line
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [dmyos.exe] C:\WINDOWS\System32\dmyos.exe
has disappeared but this new line appeared:
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [dmqbk.exe] C:\WINDOWS\System32\dmqbk.exe
Should I delete this one?
So, I could not find the following files. Apparently, I do not have them on my computer…

C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\DMROR.EXE

C:\WINDOWS\System32\dmyos.exe

C:\WINDOWS\system32\{283FCFF5-2829-4114-9621-54DDCE652841}.exe

Apparently, C:\WINDOWS\System32\dmyos.exe is changing name each time I reboot my computer. I noticed I have now a C:\WINDOWS\System32\dmegw.exe file, but when I try to delete it, it says it is already used by another application, even when I have closed everything before…

Download Killbox from here:

Killbox.zip © Option^Explicit

Unzip it, but don't run it yet.

CLOSE ALL WINDOWS (even this one) AND PROGRAMS!!!!

Run Hijack This!
Click "Do a systen scan only".
Then "check" the box to the left of these item(s):

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [dmegw.exe] C:\WINDOWS\System32\dmegw.exe

Then click "Fix checked" & close Hijack This!

Now, run Killbox.

In Killbox select "Delete on Reboot".

Paste the next line into the "Full Path of File to Delete" text box.

C:\WINDOWS\System32\dmegw.exe

Click the red dot with the white X in it, in the upper right of Killbox, then click "Yes", and "Yes" again.

When the machine reboots, "copy/paste" a new HijackThis! log file into this thread. :)
I did what you said, except that the file C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\DMQBK.EXE was already gone.
Here is the new HijackThis! log: apparently the line O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [dmegw.exe] C:\WINDOWS\System32\dmegw.exe is back, however the file C:\WINDOWS\System32\dmegw.exe has been deleted…
