Hi,
I keep getting 3 "Virus detected" messages in a row popping up from AVG. The are all for Trojan Horse files - Generic.XFV, Clicker.FR, and Generic.XKS and are in Windows\system32\{lots of numbers and letters(different for each one)}.exe
AVG tells me I can just delete the files but I cannot find them to delete them!

I move them to the vault or heal them but they keep coming back

I have downloaded Ewido and run this. It finds Trojan.small.fb and Trojan.DNSchanger.ef neither of which it is able to delete or quarantine.

Spysweeper did not pick up any of these, neither has NoAdware and AdawareSE just freezes so I am slowly going mad with these pop-ups

I have got HiJackThis from your site and a report is copied below

I still have a problem with my desktop wallpaper. I cannot get settings to accept the wallpaper i want. The screen is grey when the cursor is over it and then it goes white when the cursor is over the taskbar.
This appears to have happened after a casino program kept trying to install itself. I believe it was Monte Carlo Casino and it kept trying to install every time I connected to the internet. I thought my adware/spyware had dealt with it but it does not look like it.

Anyway, thank you for your help so far.
Delete these files:

C:\WINDOWS\system32\{322F3AAA-90C7-4FDB-96C3-7009E63031FF}.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system32\{B18162FE-6E96-49F5-8779-F31C2F755098}.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system32\{31BE45F0-BB60-4BB9-9735-171059B18EEA}.exe

CLOSE ALL WINDOWS (even this one) AND PROGRAMS!!!!

Browse to c:\fixwareout folder, Fixit.bat

This will start Fixwareout again.

After the reboot, post:

1. The fixwareout report

2. A new HijackThis! log

Into this thread.

Please turn Wordwrap OFF in Notepad before making/posting any more log files.

Hi Micah,

Many thanks for your help. I think my system is clean now as I no longer get the Trojan pop-ups and my desktop has its normal wallpaper back.

Thank you, thank you, thank you.

I have copied the log files you requested below but I hope they are OK now.

Thanks so much
I can see only two things:

This program is not recommended:

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [spywarebot] "C:\Program Files\SpywareBot\SpywareBot.exe" -boot

See this link:

Rogue Anti-Spyware Programs

And this:

O7 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System, DisableRegedit=1

Will keep you from using Regedit.

Spywarebot should be removable via "Add/Remove Programs" (if you choose to do so).

The "O7" item you'll need to "fix" with HijackThis!, then reboot.

Thank you for choosing TomCoyote for your malware removal solutions.
