Glad things are bettter except for

The computer still shuts down.

This may not be Malware related.

I'd like to check one more thing please, to make sure nothing is hiding

Please download F-Secure Blacklight (blbeta.exe) and save to your C:\ drive.
1. Cick Start ->> Run
2. Copy/paste or type the following in the Run window:

C:\blbeta.exe /expert

3. Hit "Enter" to start the program and then close the cmd box.
4. Accept the user agreement and click "Next".
5 Click "Scan".
6. After the scan is complete, click "Next", then "Exit". BlackLight will create a log in C:\ drive named "fsbl-xxxxxxx.log" (the xxxxxxx will be the date and time of the scan).
7. The log will have a list of all items found. Do not choose to rename any yet! I want to see the log first because legitimate items can also be present…like "wbemtest.exe".
8. Exit Blacklight and post the contents of the log in your next reply.

thanks bamajim
Hello :) Yes I do realize the RAM thing isn't Malware, it's some sort of hardware issue. I should probably get that checked out soon, as it's very annoying! But I did do that scan, and here are the results: 08/28/06 13:36:04 [Info]: BlackLight Engine 1.0.46 initialized 08/28/06 13:36:04 [Info]: OS: 5.1 build 2600 (Service Pack 2) 08/28/06 13:36:04 [Note]: 7019 4 08/28/06 13:36:04 [Note]: 7005 0 08/28/06 13:36:07 [Note]: 7006 0 08/28/06 13:36:07 [Note]: 7022 0 08/28/06 13:36:07 [Note]: 7011 3584 08/28/06 13:36:07 [Note]: 7026 0 08/28/06 13:36:07 [Note]: 7026 0 08/28/06 13:36:07 [Note]: FSRAW library version 1.7.1019 08/28/06 19:27:02 [Note]: 7007 0

And yes, whenever I send in error reports, I always have that come up! I don't know why Memory Diagnostics is or if I even have one or where it is. How do you even run it?! It would be nice though to find out what's wrong with the RAM!
madison8

The RAM diagnosis link I provided earlier gives directions on how to download the tool to disk and use it to diagnose your RAM problem.
But the lack of error information in Dr Watson pretty much confirms that you do indeed have a RAM problem.
I wish there was more I could do for you with regards to the RAM problem, but Hardware issues are tough to deal with online. If you are unable to Use the tool at the link provided, most PC shops have testers that can verify the condition of RAM cards.

Your Log is Clean from malware :)
I appreciate your patience in working through this.

Now that your log is clean

There are some final notes:

Thanks bamajim
Thank you so much for all your help :) I really really appreciate it!! Is there anyway you can download the diagnostics tool to a CD? I don't even think I have floppy disks anymore!
madison8 You are most welcome :) If you have enough room on your Hardrive, you can download the tool, save it to your Hardrive and then burn it to a C/D. bamajim
Yeah! I think I tried that before and it didn't work. I have Ahead Nero for burning CD's and it didn't seem to work for some reason. Maybe I'm doing something wrong, I don't know!
