OS: XP Home Edition 2002, Service Pack 2-

Approximately Sunday, 7/30/2006

while surfing, AVG (7.1.394) Resident Shield alerts: Virus Detected - Trojan horse Generic.XFV, 30 seconds later AVG alerts again, this time Trojan horse Clicker.FR - The paths were Windows\System32{somenumbers}.exe.. First closed IE, and attempted full scan with AVG, which completed itself way too fast to have been complete(about 15 seconds), then I tried scanning with Ad-aware after updating it and it froze.. a few minutes of searching led me to a post in these forums. I followed the instructions given for pre-post self-help.. downloaded, updated, and ran Spybot Search & Destroy, reboot, updated and ran Ad-Aware SE with the recommended adjustments, reboot again, download and update Ewido (4.0), reboot in Safe-Mode and Ran Ewido. This seemed to work quite well, later that night my AVG ran it's scheduled full scan, found and quarantined 95 "viruses" all Trojan horse Generic.XFV, .XKS, and Clicker.FR. Things seem back to normal now, but here's my most recent HJT log.(I have two others from before and after the pre-post self-help steps were taken)

Reboot in "safe" mode.

Run an Ewido scan. Have it remove all the nasties it finds.

Save the log.
