I somehow caught this one, not sure how, but anyway… I get dozens of IE pop-ups (even though I don't even use IE), and I get disconnected randomly from the 'net. Everytime I try to remove it using Ad-Aware, I get an error. It removes the other problems, but they come back everytime I reboot, so I'm sure it's the Look2Me program. Here are my Ad-Aware and HJT logs, I'd appreciate any help! —– Ad-Aware: References detected during the scan: »»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»» Adware.Look2Me(TAC index:7):2 total references CoolWebSearch(TAC index:10):11 total references MRU List(TAC index:0):7 total references Tracking Cookie(TAC index:3):8 total references »»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»» —– HJT: Logfile of HijackThis v1.99.1 Scan saved at 10:11:19 PM, on 7/18/2006 Platform: Windows XP SP2 (WinNT 5.01.2600) MSIE: Internet Explorer v6.00 SP2 (6.00.2900.2180) Running processes: C:\WINDOWS\System32\smss.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\winlogon.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\services.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\lsass.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\svchost.exe C:\WINDOWS\System32\svchost.exe c:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared\ccEvtMgr.exe c:\Program Files\Norton Personal Firewall\NISUM.EXE C:\WINDOWS\system32\spoolsv.exe c:\Program Files\Norton Personal Firewall\ccPxySvc.exe c:\Program Files\Norton AntiVirus\navapsvc.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\nvsvc32.exe C:\Program Files\Softex\OmniPass\Omniserv.exe C:\WINDOWS\System32\svchost.exe C:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared\Security Center\SymWSC.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\ishost.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\issearch.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\isnotify.exe C:\windows\system\hpsysdrv.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\ismon.exe C:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared\ccApp.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\ps2.exe C:\Program Files\Viewpoint\Viewpoint Manager\ViewMgr.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\RUNDLL32.EXE C:\PROGRA~1\PANICW~1\POP-UP~1\PSFree.exe C:\Program Files\MSN\MSNCoreFiles\msn.exe C:\Program Files\MSN\MSNIA\CC\MSNCC\logonmgr.exe C:\Program Files\MSN\MSNIA\CC\MSNCC\msncc.exe C:\Program Files\MSN\MSNIA\CC\MSNCC\WA\MSNAccel.exe C:\Program Files\MSN Messenger\msnmsgr.exe C:\WINDOWS\explorer.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\rundll32.exe C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe C:\Program Files\Messenger\msmsgs.exe C:\Program Files\HijackThis\HijackThis.exe R1 - Welcome to the forum :wavey:

Download/unzip Killbox from here:

Killbox.zip © Option^Explicit

Copy the file names in the quote box below to the clipboard by highlighting them and pressing
C (hold the key down, then press C):

c:\windows\system32\ishost.exe
c:\windows\system32\ismon.exe
c:\windows\system32\isnotify.exe
c:\windows\system32\issearch.exe

Run Hijack This!

Click the "Open the Misc Tools section" Button.

Click the "Open Process Manager" Button.

In the list of running processes find:

c:\windows\system32\ishost.exe
c:\windows\system32\ismon.exe
c:\windows\system32\isnotify.exe
c:\windows\system32\issearch.exe

them once (one at a time), to highlight, then click "Kill Process"

Close HijackThis!

Run Killbox, click File (in the upper left of Killbox), and choose "Paste from Clipboard".

Click the red dot with the white X in it, in the upper right of Killbox, then click "Yes", and "Yes" again.

After the reboot, "copy/paste" a new HijackThiS! log file into this thread. :)
