Hello could you please help

my laptop keeps trying to dial itself into the internet via a dial-up connection that it created on its own and which reappears even after I deleted it. The dial up connection calls itself ENTER and attempts to dial the phone number "5".

THANK YOU IN ADVANCE
Welcome to the forum :wavey:

CLOSE ALL WINDOWS (even this one) AND PROGRAMS!!!!

Run Hijack This!
Click "Do a systen scan only".
Then "check" the box to the left of these item(s):

O20 - Winlogon Notify: winzwr32 - C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\winzwr32.dll

Then click "Fix checked" & close Hijack This!

Reboot and make another log file.

If it's still in the log, do this:

Download Killbox from here:

Killbox.zip © Option^Explicit

Unzip it, but don't run it yet.

CLOSE ALL WINDOWS (even this one) AND PROGRAMS!!!!

Run Hijack This!
Click "Do a systen scan only".
Then "check" the box to the left of these item(s):

O20 - Winlogon Notify: winzwr32 - C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\winzwr32.dll

Then click "Fix checked" & close Hijack This!

Now, run Killbox.

In Killbox select "Delete on Reboot".

Paste the next line into the "Full Path of File to Delete" text box.

C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\winzwr32.dll

Click the red dot with the white X in it, in the upper right of Killbox, then click "Yes", and "Yes" again.

When the machine reboots, "copy/paste" a new log file into this thread. :)
Dear Micah

thank you very much for your help, it is much appreciated.

I followed the steps you advised me on.
I had to run Killbox as when fixing it with HJT the entry reappeared.
This is the new logfile.

Fix this with HijackThis!:

O20 - Winlogon Notify: winzwr32 - winzwr32.dll (file missing)

Then reboot.

Remove this folder:

C:\!Killbox

Killbox makes copies of things it removes andplaces them there. You won't be needing anything in that folder.

Then, I believe you are "cured".

Thank you for choosing TomCoyote for your malware removal solutions.
