Welcome to the forum :wavey:

Step 1:

Please download Process Explorer by Sysinternals from:

Process Explorer

Download Killbox from here:

Killbox.zip © Option^Explicit

Unzip it, but don't run it yet.

Step 2:

Copy/paste the text in the Quote box below into Notepad, and save, where you can find it, as "killme.txt"

C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\comraf.dll

Step 3:

Print out the following instructions as you will not have Internet Access for the rest of this fix.

Reboot in "safe" mode.

The rest of this fix must be done in safe mode.

Unzip Process Explorer and double click on procexp.exe

In the top section of the Process Exlporer screen double-click on winlogon.exe to bring up the winlogon.exe properties screen. Click on the Threads tab at the top.

Once you see this screen click on each instance of:

comraf.dll

once and then click the kill button.

After you have killed all of:

comraf.dll

under winlogon click OK.

BE SURE TO KILL ONLY THIS FILE!!!

Next double-click on explorer.exe, select the Threads tab, and again click once on each instance of:

comraf.dll

then click the kill button.

BE SURE TO KILL ONLY THIS FILE!!!

Once you have done that click OK again.

Next run Hijack This! and place a check beside each of the following.

R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\SearchURL,(Default) = http://red.clientapps.yahoo.com/customize/…//www.yahoo.com

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {09cdf61d-6486-4e2f-bebb-ab9122266a79} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\comraf.dll

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [AlcxMonitor] ALCXMNTR.EXE

O16 - DPF: {88D758A3-D33B-45FD-91E3-67749B4057FA} - http://dm.screensavers.com/dm/installers/si/1/sinstaller.cab

O20 - Winlogon Notify: comraf - C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\comraf.dll

Now click Fix checked and close HijackThis.

Step 4:

Find and open the "killme.txt" file with Notepad.

Then copy the file name in the "killme.txt" to the clipboard by highlighting it and pressing C (hold the key down, then press C):

Close "killme.txt".

Double click on Killbox.exe and then check the Delete on reboot button.

In Killbox, past the file name in the "Full Path of File to Delete" text box.

Click the red dot with the white X in it, in the upper right of Killbox, then click "Yes", and "Yes" again.

After the reboot, "copy/paste" a new Hijack This! log file into this thread. :)
Hello there thanks for the help! Well I've done all that you've told me to and here's the new hijackthis logfile.

Just a little cleanup…

CLOSE ALL WINDOWS (even this one) AND PROGRAMS!!!!

Run Hijack This!
Click "Do a systen scan only".
Then "check" the box to the left of these item(s):

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {35E78239-811E-4c3f-B37D-F339AC16C2C0} - C:\PROGRA~1\Comet\bin\autosearch.dll (file missing)

Then click "Fix checked" and close Hijack This!.

Reboot.

Remove this folder:

C:\!Killbox

Killbox places copies of things it removes there. You won't be needing anything in that folder.

Your Java needs updated:

The latest version out is jre1.5.0_07

After updating you must remove previous versions via "Add/Remove Programs".

jre1.5.0_07 update link

Things "OK" for you now?

Securing Your PC After An Attack
Thank you so much, everything works fine, the only thing is, i uninstalled all the java and installed the new version, it works perfectly on I.E. it verifys it, but it doesn't work on firefox for some odd reason. Also i was just wondering, on my hjt log file, it shows like O9 - Extra button: PartyPoker.com - {B7FE5D70-9AA2-40F1-9C6B-12A255F085E1} - C:\Program Files\PartyPoker\PartyPoker.exe (file missing) can i check those and fix those or it's just better off leaving it alone? thank you so much for your help and patience!

Not sure about the Firefox/Java question….

Firefox FAQ

That didn't help me much….

The "O9" items with "(file missing)" - HijackThis! has an "O9" bug. Check to see if the file really is missing. If so, "fix" the "O9".
