Hello, having probs, windows popping up randomly (flipping between open browser windows/programmes - not 'pop ups' – but am getting 'errorsafe' popup) can hardly type this!! Mouse being unplugged helped once - but it's not the port, and I don't think it's the mouse… Anything obvious then please let me know.

Rename this file (HijackThis!):

C:\Documents and Settings\steve\Desktop 2\HijackThis.exe

To:

C:\Documents and Settings\steve\Desktop 2\noname.exe

Reboot.

Run it and post a new log file, into this thread.

I believe you are the victim of one of the newest infections that "hides" from HijackThis!

If so, this will reveal the "hiding" processes.

Hi, thanks for the reply but I eventually gave up and reinstalled windows (clean install). Things were still messed up and I strongly suspected a hardware problem, but things have just recently cleared up as if by magic! Think it might be one of the many utilities I've been desperately trying. :weee: Ah well, hope things continue to work… Many thanks. :wavey:
