MSN messenger My space please help

i got this i click here 2 c a pic of u n a myspace url msg, n i clicked it… after which, my msn suddenly opened conversations with everybody online, and it jammed. i restarted my msn messenger. opened windows task manager and ended a process "myspace", did a search on myspace using the search on the start menu of windows, and found 2 myspace cookies, MYSPACE.EXE-2A9B190E.pf, and a myspace application with a msn messenger icon(in my c:\). i did a scan with norton antivirus, and avg anti virus, but found nothing.

i threw everything from the search to my recycle bin.

These look "fishy" to me:

I'd bet a pickled Buffalo tongue it's something you don't want.

Before we jump to conclusions, let's do this:

Please go to these free online file checkers:

Kaspersky Online File Scanner

Jotti Online File Scanner

VirusTotal Online File Scanner

And submit this file for a virus scan:

c:\windows\system32\drivers\helpsys\msnexplorer.exe

Post back into this thread with your results.

It also appears you have more than one antivirus active.

I'd suggest removing, or at least disabling, all but ONE.

o no…. my com is running at a snails pace… 319 processes, mostly opened by some stupid sofytware trying 2 install something on my com. now i cant even shut down my com…. Scanned file: msnexplorer.exe - infected msnexplorer.exe - infected by backdoor.win32.agent.vk statistics known viruses: 199907 file size (Kb): 31 Files: 1 Archives: 0 Updated: 12-06-2006 Virus bodies: 1 Warnings: 0 suspicious: 0 got some new thing called freeprodtb on the com… is there any way to remove these viruses without using the internet?

CLOSE ALL WINDOWS (even this one) AND PROGRAMS!!!!
Run Hijack This!
Click "Do a systen scan only".
Then "check" the box to the left of these item(s):

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [MSN Explorer] c:\windows\system32\drivers\helpsys\msnexplorer.exe

O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [MSN Explorer] c:\windows\system32\drivers\helpsys\msnexplorer.exe

Then click "Fix checked".

Reboot in "safe" mode.

Find and delete:

c:\windows\system32\drivers\helpsys\msnexplorer.exe <— file

Some malware files may be "hidden".
Be sure to show hidden files when looking for these file(s) and/or folder(s).

Reboot in normal mode and "copy/paste" a new HijackThis! log file into this thread. :)
