hoasts files? and blocking sites

firstly sorry mods if this is in the wrong section! righto I believe theres a way to block your pc going to certain sites i.e. www.bigbaps.com using the 127.0.0.1 in your hoast files, but being a relative novice I dont know where to start, what i need to know is:- 1 where are the hoast files for firefox 2 how to eddit them so a.n.other websit cant be visited 3 thats about it!! thanks in advance folks!

For XP users, the "HOSTS" file is located in this folder:

C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc

If you want to block that site, open this file using Notepad:

C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\hosts

In there, you'll see a line that looks about like this:

127.0.0.1 localhost

Under it, place a similar line looking like this:

127.0.0.1 bigbaps.com

Save it.

Reboot.
