Hello...your last instructions seemed to do the trick...HijackThis removed the offending files
....don't know if anyone has mentioned it in awhile but you and your comrades are wonderful...I will remember to donate to support this site...the response was timely and very concise...this is actually my wife's laptop and she was extremely upset that she wasn't able to resolve this issue on her own( and that her husband who is by no means a techofreak was able to find help that actually worked!)...thanks once again and I have included the log from "l2mfix"
