When running Spysweeper i get :"Hosts file too large". Is there anything i can do to manage this? Any help would be appriciated.
Ok tks. I just submittted a ticket with webroot, and i keep checking around. Sweep time with spysweeper has been reduced from approx 35 mins to 15mins. My computer seems to be slower, and cpu usage higher than normal. Dont know if this relates, I`m a little of a novice and dont even know what a hostsfile does/is.
hi kris42,

sorry, i assumed that you were using a custom host file. do this:

run spysweeper and your av in safe mode. to reach safe mode, tap the f8 key during a computer restart, chose the first option: safe mode, run spysweeper and your av, afterwards restart computer normally.

next stop, download and post a hjt log, see link:

post the hjt log in this forum: create a new topic-(i will look for it there)
