When I do a google search, the link I click on is Hijacked and I get sent to a different site. My logfile is:

This looks like an old scan result.

You are also running HJT from a temporary file or desktop we will be cleaning out all of you temp. files latter you will need to make a new folder for HijackThis. Instructions can be found here.

Move hijackthis and repost please.

Please set your system to show
all files; please see here if you're unsure how to do this.


Here are the directions for creating a zip file For Windows XP:
Using Windows Explorer, locate the first file you want to zip.
Right click on the file and select Send To and Compressed (zipped) Folder.

Please upload the zip file if you can if you can't then upload the the files without zipping. here
If you can't do that then send it here. here

I'm sorry. I could not find the file C:\WINDOWS\system32\dmwth.exe. I ran another HJT log and have searched the log and could not find dmwth.exe listed on the log. Below is the new log. I appreciate your help.

See if you can find this file and send it to me.

C:\WINDOWS\system32\dmili.exe

After which do not restart your computer. Post another log from hijackthis.
After posting leave your PC on.

By the time I received your message, I had shut down my computer for the day. I will keep it on until you tell me it's okay to restart it. C:\WINDOWS\system32\dmili.exe was not in the folder. A ran HJT again and the log is below. I apologize for the hassle and appreciate the help.

Download Pocket Killbox and unzip it; save it to your Desktop.

Set your system to show all files; see here if you're unsure how to do this.

Close all programs leaving only HijackThis running. Place a check against each of the following,

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [QuickTime Task] "C:\Program Files\QuickTime\qttask.exe" -atboottime
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [dmeen.exe] C:\WINDOWS\system32\dmeen.exe

Click on Fix Checked when finished and exit HijackThis.

Using Windows Explorer, locate the following files/folders, and delete them:
C:\WINDOWS\system32\dmeen.exe
Exit Explorer, and reboot as normal afterwards.


If you were unable to find any of the files then please follow these additional instructions:
Run kill box , and click the radio button that says Delete a file on reboot. Paste
C:\WINDOWS\system32\dmeen.exe
into the full path of file to delete box and click the red circle with a white cross in it.

The program will ask you if you want to reboot; answer Yes.

Let the system reboot.
