Welcome to the forum.

Right now your log looks clean.

But here's the fix for L2M:


Please download Look2Me-Destroyer.exe to your desktop from the link below:
http://www.atribune.org/ccount/click.php?id=7
Close all windows before continuing.
Double-click Look2Me-Destroyer.exe to run it.
Put a check next to Run this program as a task.
You will receive a message saying Look2Me-Destroyer will close and re-open in approximately 1 minute. Click OK
When Look2Me-Destroyer re-opens, click the Scan for L2M button, your desktop icons will disappear, this is normal.
Once it's done scanning, click the Remove L2M button.
You will receive a Done Scanning message, click OK.
When completed, you will receive this message: Done removing infected files! Look2Me-Destroyer will now shutdown your computer, click OK.
Your computer will then shutdown.
Turn your computer back on.
Please post the contents of Look2Me-Destroyer.txt and a new HiJackThis log.

Mr. Major & Ms. Lindsay: Many thanks for your help. As you say, after a couple of years the operating system gets loaded up and needs a remodel. I appreciate your forum. My daughter returned from college last year with a really compromised system. Without TOMCOYOTE help I was faced with throwing it out in the trash and getting a new computer. I did and will contribute. Okie Dokie here is where i am now. I am having trouble getting look2me-destroyer up an running. I can download the free version. I can locate free version. But, I get error messages when i try to run it. After a search - it appears as "look2me-destroyer[1].exe-355001F5.pf" in the C:\windows\prefetch folder. I found that my system could not open a "PF" file. So I bought the REGSOFT.com / allume.com stuffit software to help me open "PF" files. I am a bit over my head here because I can't get look2me-destroyer to run. My next effort will be to try to make sure the task scheduler is running (sc.exe) But, I am running out of time. I leave at 6 am on 4/17, returning late on 4/24. So, i might be slow getting back to you. Regards and thanks again for all you do. Larry in new mexico

Do a search for Look2Me-Destroyer.exe, this is the program you want to run.

If you can't find it, download it again and watch where you download it to.

Close ALL programs down, leaving ONLY HijackThis running - Click Scan and…..
Place a check against the following items:

O9 - Extra button: AOL Toolbar - {4982D40A-C53B-4615-B15B-B5B5E98D167C} - (no file)
O9 - Extra 'Tools' menuitem: AOL Toolbar - {4982D40A-C53B-4615-B15B-B5B5E98D167C} - (no file)

Click on Fix Checked and exit HijackThis.

Don't open e-mail attachments without first scanning them with an up-to-date
anti virus program, even after doing that I would be very careful. Don't click on any executables in e-mails or any other links that you're not sure of.
Watch your surfing habits, don't click on or download anything you're not sure of. Don't install a program that hasn't been recommended by a reputable organization.
