Hello

I went to a "normal" site that was about Celebrex a week ago my Norton warned me of

TrojanByte Verify

Properties are
jar.jar-69814c63-1ebbfdc6.zip

TrojanByteVerify
jar.jar-78c83dbf-75e2287b.zip

Download Trojan
xpladv640[1].wmf

I have 38 newly received (not by me) Album Art in my Received Files

Properties are like this
AD383E-8379-4CFF-A53A-33A3D2BB9351}_Small

and when I try to delete them I get the message that it is a system file do I really want to delete it

The only safe site on the whole internet seems to be this forum!!

Any help would be appreciated...thank you very much for your time

Click start > control panel > user accounts > change the way users log on or off > uncheck fast user switching > restart you computor.

Download, unzip and run 'RootkitRevealer' from Sysinternals:
http://www.sysintern...itRevealer.html
Once the program has started, press Scan and let it run.
When the scan is done, use 'File > Save' to place the logfile in a convenient location (such as the desktop). The default filename will be 'RootkitReveal.txt'.

Save your Log File
Copy/Paste the contecnts of that logfile into your next reply

NOT touch the PC at ALL for Whatever reason/s until it has 100% completed its scan, or attempted scan in case of some error etc !

That way you should have a much simpler and clearer log file in which to peruse and evaluate.

One of the best features of Windows XP is the System Restore option,
however if a virus infects a computer with this operating system the virus can be backed up
in the System Restore folder. Therefore, clearing the restore points is necessary after a virus removal.

To reset your restore points, please note that you will need to log into your computer with an account
which has full administrator access. You will know if the account has administrator access because
you will be able to see the System Restore tab. If the tab is missing, you are logged in under a limited account.

1. Turn off System Restore.
On the Desktop, right-click My Computer.
Click Properties.
Click the System Restore tab.
Check Turn off System Restore.
Click Apply, and then click OK.

2. Reboot.

3. Turn ON System Restore.
On the Desktop, right-click My Computer.
Click Properties.
Click the System Restore tab.
UN-Check *Turn off System Restore*.
Click Apply, and then click OK.

Download System Security Suite v1.04 here
Tutorial here.

Run 3S under “Items To Clear” tab place a checkmark in all of them but the last.
Reboot and Rescan with HJT and post a new log here.
Also please describe how your computer behaves now.
