As said above, I found another thread http://forums.tomcoy...showtopic=56825

and followed most of the advice, the safe mode clean up, the dl of the fix and restart and I've got a new hijackthis log shown below, and not sure what to delete.

System is simply slowing down and the otherday about 5gigs of something snuck onto my system drive so I have gotten motivated to check things out.

I uninstalled sp2 the other day because I thought it may be behind some problems and have just now learned how to turn on the firewall provided with sp1.

Below is my hijack this log.

Please tell me if I'm doing this post right.

thank you.

Download Pocket Killbox and unzip it; save it to your Desktop.

Run it, and click the radio button that says Delete a file on reboot. Paste
C:\WINDOWS\System32\conime.exe
into the full path of file to delete box and click the red circle with a white cross in it.

The program will ask you if you want to reboot; answer Yes.

conime.exe is a process which is registered as the BFGhost 1.0 Remote administration backdoor tool. This backdoor application can allow attackers to access your computer, stealing passwords and personal data.
If you didn't install it get rid of it.

Change all your passwords and call your bank, and credit card companies.
Accounts like ebay may need to be changed.

Okay, I did what you suggested. Thank you.

Here is the new log file.

I have a question regarding the toolbar &radio and another button 'noname'. Should I just leave these there?
I don't know anything about them.
