Please help me with this winfixer bugger..
My computer is infected and i cannot remove it.
There is always a popup-window showing up.

Download VirtumundoBeGone by secured2k

Save the file to your desktop
Close all running programs (including your Internet Browser)
Double-click VirtumundoBeGone.exe on the desktop
Read the introductory information, and then click Continue
Click Start
When asked if you want to continue, click Yes to run the fix
Click "Save Log"
Note: It is normal for the the fix to terminate by producing a BLUE SCREEN OF DEATH so don't be concerned when this happens. It requires you to manually reboot to restore your normal windows desktop.
The log created by VirtumundoBeGone called VBG.TXT will be on located on your desktop. Please retain VBG.TXT.
Empty Recycle Bin.
Reboot and "copy/paste" a new HijackThis log file along with the VBG.TXT into this thread.
Also please describe how your computer behaves at the moment.

thank you so much for your answer.
i ran the virtumundobegone.exe and it did not find any.
after the reboot the popupwindow came up again, but it changed, before it had the content: winfixer cannot function well, now it says the following: the program downloads and installs winfixer 2005 on your computer when you click the button "continue"

i ran the virtumundobegone.exe and it did not find any.
after the reboot the popupwindow came up again, but it changed, before it had the content: winfixer cannot function well, now it says the following: the program downloads and installs winfixer 2005 on your computer when you click the button "continue"

Can you look in the downloads folder and see if anything is there?
Also lets do this:
Please download System Security Suite. Extract it from the zip file into a folder.
here.
Run 3S under “Items To Clear” tab place a checkmark in all of them but the last.
Reboot and Rescan with HJT and post a new log here.
Also please describe how your computer behaves now.

The downloads folder belongs to my ICQ and i deleted the content.
I also downloaded 3S and performed the clean up.
After the restart, the popup window did not appear as usual.

Note: This will remove all previous Restore Points
Turn off System Restore:
On the Desktop, right-click My Computer.
Click Properties.
Click the System Restore tab.
Check Turn off System Restore.
Click Apply, and then click OK.
Restart your computer, turn it back on.
On the Desktop, right-click My Computer.
Click Properties.
Click the System Restore tab.
Remove the Check Turn off System Restore.
Click Apply, and then click OK.
Click Start> My Computer, select the Tools menu and then Folder Options, after the new window appears select the View tab…]
This time select the: Restore Defaults
Select: Apply, and click OK
If you dont have these three programs I would recommend that you get them. Spywareblaster, Spywareguard and IESPY AD. They will add 1000's of sites to your resticted zone and block some hijacks from happening. I also have a FREE FIREWALL and FREE ANTI VIRUS if you need one.
It is critical to have both a firewall and anti virus to protect your system.
Keep your system up to date and run Adaware & Spybot, once a week works, and hopefully you will be ok from here on. Both are available below.
