I started getting alerts from Norton Antivirus that I could not get rid of. I tried all the standard stuff. At that point, I uninstalled Norton and tried NOD32. Same message, different software. Here's the basics:
File: C:\WINDOWS\system32\vtsqo.dll
Threat: Win32/Adware.Virtumonde.O application
comment:
The file can be deleted. It is strongly recommended that you back up any crucial data before you proceed. Event occurred at an attempt to access the file by the application: \??\C:\WINDOWS\system32\winlogon.exe.
I cannot delete the file even in safe mode here's my HJT log. Also, can't get rid of the message.
Thanks for your help.
