Hi, I downloaded Avast for the first time tonight and once it was on my comp I was told to restart, so I did. Then when my comp was starting up it started scanning before I even got the chance to log on and it came across a virus or two and some spyware, so I started deleting them (when I should have moved them to the virus chest) and it was only when I clicked delete that I noticed the files I was deleting were system32 files. I don't know a lot about computers, but im pretty sure those are important files. So how do I know if I've messed up my computer or not? :(
I think your safe. :P Usually, virus files lie within the System32 folder. The system32 folder doesn't just hold Windows files. If your computer still boots, your OK.
