Help all EXE files are in WinZip

Don't know what happened but every exe or shortcut I try is popping open a winzip box to add to the archive!!!!!! HELP Running windows 2000

More info, evidently an .EXE prgram locked up and my kid said a bunch of boxes popped up which were asking Open With….. , he thought he just closed all them, but did see one box with winzip fly by. He must have associated this for all files, can I change this easily?

hi skl, look in programs for winzip, launch it and at the top look for options or preferences etc make sure only zip files are selected or try this, chose a .exe file, right click on it and see if there is a option that says "open with" if so uncheck your zip utility.

Tried that but nothing. The Add to archive box also appeared for the winzip file.

Don't do this yet. I wondering if un-install WinZip would restore the default back to .exe?
