I got up this morning to find out that my workstation had rebooted in the middle of the night. When I logged in, I was greated by 20 or more small windows asking me to grant permission to allow some unknown application to manage some folders. I think I said no to all, but may have hit yes in frustration.
I started up CounterSpy and it showed that it did not run last night. It was otherwise set to Active mode. Likewise, Norton Internet Security was actively running. Lastly, I have a Netgear firewall/router (FVS318).
I rebooted my system (XP Pro SP2). Now, I am missing all my desktop icons and my taskbar. Otherwise the system is running fine.
I am at a loss as to what is wrong. My hijack this log is as follows. I welcome any and all help.
