Ah. Don't worry about being personal. The thing is, the stuff in the C:\Uploads isn't anything I downloaded or ever wanted on my computer. It's a whole bunch of stuff. All zip files and they usually have names like: C:\Uploads\Eminem (who i would never want on my comp ;) ) and other stuff like games that i've never played or downloaded. "Icewind Dale" that was on there. Also "Need for speed" and some other music. Let me try to scan again with trend micro and i'll write down some more files here.

Before doing another scan, why not go thru that folder and delete everything you are absolutely positive you can live without, then empty the recycle bin, then run the scan.

Before, I do that i just want to point out.. The C:Uploads file is hidden and I had to show hidden files before I found it. There are about 6000 zip files in there and I'm pretty sure that I don't need any of them.. I certainly didn't download them or whatever. Here is a list of a few of those files just as an example: Xeno web xfilesdialogue Xeno bar Xfader Xferret Zeropopup Zigzag cleaner And about 6000 more. I guess my question is: Is it possible that the whole folder is a virus or is it possible to just delete the folder and get rid of the whole thing? I understand this might totally sound stupid because i don't know anything about computers, but I thought I should just share this info with you. thanks

:scratch: Since your log was clean, it appears that all the "active" infections have been removed. I think it would be OK to install AVG Free at this point. :)

Well, that took ages!!! hehe Ok, so there were 5424 viruses. Only two different kinds in the C:Uploads folder. Trojan horse Crypt.B Worm\VB The antivirus software removed all of them. thankfully. Thank you again for all your hard work. Much appreciated.

Well, now i'm having serious lag problems. Everything is running very slowly. I scanned it with adaware, spybot and AVG again and even they took forever to scan. AVG found 5 viruses but didn't clean any of them. Almost impossible to talk on msn or even wait around for a webpage to load. Anyway, something isn't right.. Heres' my new hijack this log.. cheers.

Nothing's jumping out at me…

AVG found 5 viruses but didn't clean any of them.


Can you post the "full path names" (example: C:\Windows\virus.exe) of the infected files? :unsure:
