I have a computer at office infected with PE TENGA.A, also known as W32.Licum virus. Ran Trend Micro Housecall scan which identified 543 .exe files which have been infected. However when I try to clean these files with Housecall the computer freezes. Can anyone help with cleaning these .exe files and removing the original virus please. Any help greatly appreciated.
The TE_TENGA.A resided in my notebook with windows 98se operation system at least 3 years. I used TrendMicro free HouseCall scan to reduce the number of infected files. It can not get rid of this virus completly due to some failure transfer of file in the cleaning process. Till recently I got the system freezing problem. I tried the alternative solution for the virus cleaning. Just download the executable file "sysclean.com" and the virus pattern file: lpt253.zip (AS/400, S/390, Windows) 7.9MB Then, extract the zip file first and put two files in the same directory. Click to run the sysclean.com for several times. that's all. All the TE_TENGA.A disappeared.
