We're fairly certain that with that parameter set as it is, all "restore" data is lost. The people "overlooking this post" believe you have the program(s) on there (somewhere) to restore the machine, but they also think it may wipe off any files you have. Although, I don't know what/where that program is on your machine as of yet. Your major problem is you don't have windows CD's or a recovery CD. Without that, the possibilities seem to be limited. :( One thing you may try would be to restore any files in the recycle bin, and reboot to see if that may help.
Welp, you win the "casual comment" award!

I went into the Rycle bin and restored everything that I had deleted last Friday night, and bingo, I'm in normal mode!!!

Here's a HJT log:

The "goofy" thing is the fact that I've had people "fix" all of those things before (in other posts), and they never had a boot problem afterwards??!!??

Anyway, one of the people assisting is in Europe, so it'll probably be tomorrow afternoon/evening before I post again.

Maybe we're just a victin of tragic circumstances here?
Several things:

Please go here:

System Restore

To learn how to turn system restore ON/OFF.

Then turn system restore ON

Then create a restore point.

Go to:

Start -> All Programs -> Accessories -> System Tools -> System Restore

And create a restore point.

Next go here:

Create XP Boot Disk

And make a "boot disk". After making it, put it in your machine and see if it works.

Check to see if this folder is still on your PC:

C:\Program Files\winCMAPP <– this folder

There are people very interested in it's contents. Let me know if you still have it.

Now, before we start to "fix" things, let's see if anythinig can be "uninstalled".

Run Hijack This!

Click the "Open the Misc Tools" section Button.

Click the "Open Uninstall Manager" Button.

Click the "Save list…" Button.

Save it to your desktop. Copy and paste the contents into your reply.
:)
I was able to create a restore point, but not a boot disk. Those files aren't found on my root drive. I checked my own computer and it doesn't have them either. The WinCMAPP folder is one of the ones I restored from the recycle bin. However, I suspected it of being the problem, so I tried to reboot after restoring just that folder, before restoring any of the others, and it still wouldn't reboot. So I don't think it had anything to do with my boot problems. However, it's still in the system, having been restored. The files are probably on the machine, just hidden.

I don't think your machine can function without them.

Copy the text in the following quote box into Notepad:

copy c:\Boot.ini a:
copy c:\NTLDR. a:
copy c:\Ntdetect.com a:
copy c:\bootsect.dos a:
copy c:\ntbootdd.sys a:

Save it to your desktop as ff.bat.

Put a floppy disk in your PC.

Now, the ff.bat file on the desktop.

This should copy the "boot" files to the floppy. The last two may not be on your machine (according to that web page). They're not on mine.

Then give it a try (see if you can boot from it).

Then go to:

Start –> Control Panel –> Add/Remove Programs

Remove these:

CashBackBuddy

NaviSearch

The BullsEye Network

Uninstall 2search

WebSearch Toolbar

Reboot and post a new log file, so we can see where we are at.
:)
I previously went into DOS command mode and tried a copy command exactly like the ones you've given….for some reason the files don't seem to be on C:/

Maybe they're somewhere else? Could the D: partition be used as the boot drive? I'm confused.

Anyway, I deleted those 5.. here's the HJT log:

Please make a copy of this folder:

C:\Program Files\winCMAPP <– this folder

Zip it, and go here to submit it for expert analysis:

Bleepingcomputer Submissions

You can try the ff.bat file again, and change "C:" to "D:" to see if the files are there. I don't think so, but it wouldn't be the 1st time I've been wrong.

Fix this with Hijack This!:

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Uninstall_TBPS] C:\WINDOWS\Temp\TBuninst.exe /remove

Reboot and post a new log file.
I've submitted that folder to the site you gave.

I did a search for boot.ini and the computer couldn't find the file anywhere.

Thanks for the submission.

I guess the "boot disk" is a no-go. I don't know where else to look.

All the "baddies" are gone.

Fix these and reboot:

R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Toolbar,LinksFolderName =

R3 - URLSearchHook: (no name) - {8952A998-1E7E-4716-B23D-3DBE03910972} - (no file)

I am concerned about this:

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [MSConfig] C:\WINDOWS\PCHealth\HelpCtr\Binaries\MSConfig.exe /auto

You don't have anything disabled via Msconfig that we should be concerned about do you?
I noticed a boot.ini tab in msconfig. It listed a small batch file which included a call to a directory called c:\cmdcons, something about a recovery console. Thought you might be interested.

I have about 6 or 7 things turned off in the startup tab, cfgmgr51, istsvc, jusched and realsched, in addition to some obvious adware (such as the infamous lpssxs). I don't know how to totally remove them from the list….

Here's the HJT log:
