Hopefully some one will be able to help me. I have ran spybot and ad-aware and they havent helped. My computer will just turn off randomly, and I can't seem to be able to use control alt delete. This is the hijack log; If some one could help that would be great. Thanks alot.

Hi, I don't see much, are you still having this problem?

My computer will just turn off randomly

It's very possible that is a hardware issue, if the problem still exists, give me as much information about it as you can, especially any error messages you receive word for work, thanks.

Let's do a little cleaning and see what happens:

1) Download, update, configure and run these two programs: http://tomcoyote.org/aawsb.php Please do not activate TeaTimer until we are finished with the cleanup. The newest version of Ad-aware is 1.06 and Spybot 1.04. Even if you have these programs, use the link to get the newest version, update and configure them as in the link. Run Spybot first, reboot then run Ad-aware. Both programs back up what they remove so delete anything the programs say should be removed.

2) Open HijackThis and choose "Do a system scan only" then check the box in front of these line items:

Close all programs but HJT and all browser windows, then click on "Fix Checked"

3) Download CCleaner from this link: http://www.ccleaner.com/ Review the instructions http://www.ccleaner.com/help/tour1.asp and Run CCleaner, when you run the registry cleaner (Issues) you will be prompted to backup before you can remove stuff, make sure you do. Then restart the computer and post a new HJT log. Include any information you think I should have. See how you are running, we can get into some deep scans looking for bad stuff HJT can't see, if we need to.

Hi, We have a little more to do. It appears you missed lines with HJT. Spyware Doctor may have blocked you. One is adware and must go and one is bad.

First I need to ask about this:
C:\Program Files\ACNielsen\Homescan Internet Transporter\HSTrans.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [MegaPanel] C:\Program Files\ACNielsen\Homescan Internet Transporter\HSTrans.exe
Do you know what those programs are? Neilsen collects information about your online activites and we consider that spyware, do you know something I do not know??

Spyware Doctor may stop you from removing stuff with HJT, turn it off until you are done, don't forget to turn it back on.

Open HijackThis and choose "Do a system scan only" then check the box in front of these line items:

(this is adware, check and remove it)
R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\SearchURL,(Default) = http://red.clientapps.yahoo.com/customize/…//www.yahoo.com

(this is bad, check and remove it)
R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Local Page = C:\WINDOWS\about.htm

(if you know what this Hosts item is, tell me so I can quit asking you to remove it)
O1 - Hosts: 216.19.0.250 idenupdate.motorola.com

Close all programs but HJT and all browser windows, then click on "Fix Checked"

Post what I hope will be the last log, along with any comments, especially about Neilsen. Let me know if the computer is still shutting itself down, that sounds like a hardware problem and I can give you some troubleshooting links and also suggest you post at "Other computer problems" forum.
