Trying to fix my home laptop. Starware has hijacked my browser and I can not access the internet to get updates on Spybot, Advance System Operator, or Norton Internet Security. As a matter of fact, somehow something has caused Norton to say "Trial Period Expired" even though I have a purchased copy of 2005. Can't get to the internet on the home computer to fix it. I am working on my business laptop (set up next to the home laptop) and am able to connect to the internet to download files, etc. I ran ASO and deleted some registry problems, but that didnt fix anything. Restarted my computer and ran Hijack This. Was not able to run Spybot because it required an initial update from the intenet (which I cant do from the home laptop). Any help will be greatly appreciated. Regards - Kevin

Sorry for the slow reply. I was traveling back home with the laptop in question and just recently was able to hook it back up to the internet to see if it works. I had to un-install Advanced System Optimizer and Norton Internet Security; but I have passcodes to re-install them. So far, everything looks fine. 20 something hours later and it would appear that you have cleaned the hijacker off this computer. Thanks for your service. For what it's worth, a donation to TomCoyote has been made. Peace, Kevin :)
