Have a trojan horse that will not be removed by Norton. Have Anti Virus 2005. It identifies it, but does not remove it. Followed directions from their website, but there was not "run servcies" in regedit. So i saw no changes to delete.

Norton (just updated) identifies a Trojan Horse - infected file is jxgauo.exe laocted in Windows/System/32/jxgauo.exe. It won't fix and won't quarantine, but ignores it.

A search on several meta-search engines show no match...

A search at Symantec on "jxgauo.exe" ( http://search.symant...m/us/query.html ) shows:
"Results for: jxgauo.exe - No results were found for your search."

'Suggest you open a new thread and post an HJT log in the following forum:

I had the same trouble with Norton Anti-virus, only with jaaste.exe. I loaded the Ewido Security suite and it blasted it away as well as many other problems.

Ewido Security Suite

I liked it so much that I am discontinuing Norton (Symantec).
