when i try to sreen print and press F7 get Caret Browsing asking if I want to turn caret browsing on/off?

Are you talking about this thread? I don't see any mention of F7 there. The keys mentioned are the print screen key which you will probably find to the right of your F12 key. The other key mentioned is the Alt key wihich you will probably find both to the right and left of your keyboard's space bar. Once you have used the print screen key you can then paste the image into any program that can handle images such as bitmaps, gifs and jpegs. Microsofts pain program is one that you can use. You can find paint in Start > All Programs > Accessories > Paint. After you do a screen capture then run paint and choose Edit > Paste and you will see the screen capture pasted into the paint window.
The printt screen key may be labeled Prnt Scrn or something like that.
