Good Job

Your log looks good. :D  How is it running? Any issues?

I will leave this thread open for a few days.
If you start getting alerts again let me know.

Note: This will remove all previous Restore Points

Turn off System Restore:

On the Desktop, right-click My Computer.
Click Properties.
Click the System Restore tab.
Check Turn off System Restore.
Click Apply, and then click OK.

Restart your computer, turn it back on.

On the Desktop, right-click My Computer.
Click Properties.
Click the System Restore tab.
Remove the Check Turn off System Restore.
Click Apply, and then click OK.

Click Start> My Computer, select the Tools menu and then Folder Options, after the new window appears select the View tab…
This time select the: Restore Defaults
Select: Apply, and click OK

If you dont have these three programs I would recommend that you get them. Spywareblaster, Spywareguard and IESPY AD. They will add 1000's of sites to your resticted zone and block some hijacks from happening. I also have a FREE FIREWALL and FREE ANTI VIRUS if you need one.

It is critical to have both a firewall and anti virus to protect your system.

Keep your system up to date and run Adaware & Spybot, once a week works, and hopefully you will be ok from here on.

Thanks Maynard, here is the text of the popup I continually get fom my antivirus program (trend) Real-time Scan Trend Micro PC-cillin Internet Security has detected a virus, spyware application, or other Internet threat, and performed the action specified. Infected file: C:\System Volume Information\_restore{BC9F3C70-F33F-48FB-93C7-198E1A9B1607}\RP108\A0014442.dll Virus name: ADW_CLICKSPRNG.H User name: Owner Scan action result: Denied Access. Note: If Search for and clean Trojans is enabled and is executed after scanning, you can click Next to view final scan result information. I'll complete your instructions, let me know if I need to send another scan. This alert is the same one that comes up all the time. I thnk the spyware is in my system and continually tries to activate, then gets blocked by Trend.
Maynard and Mr Tate. I would like to give back to this valueable scumware reduction project. How can I become a volunteer to help other folks get rid of this menace?

Thanks Mr Tate,
Problems stem around slow internet which I understand could be a miriad of different things, however, out of the blue (no pun intended) I got the blue sceen of death this morning followed by this error message:
Disk boot failure, Insert system disk and press enter.
I rebooted, and things are working, albeit slower than usual.

I notice a number of different things that didn't seem to be present on the last log.
A couple examples below
