"With just two days to spare, Microsoft on Tuesday posted the final update to Windows 2000, which is scheduled to roll off mainstream support Thursday, June 30. Carrying the unwieldy name of Update Rollup for Windows 2000 Service Pack 4, the collection of 51 security-related fixes contains all patches produced for Windows 2000 between the November 2003, release of Windows 2000 SP4 and April 30 of this year, when the rollup's features were locked in place…
The 32MB Windows 2000 rollup file can be downloaded directly from Microsoft's Web site or through the Windows Update service."

"…The rollup, which was released at the end of June, was characterized at the time by Microsoft as a simple collection of 51 security-related patches that had been previously posted between November 2003 and April 2005. On Thursday, however, Microsoft acknowledged that the rollup breaks some applications. A document in Microsoft's Knowledgebase support database updated Thursday noted that five security apps from Internet Security Systems stop running after the rollup's added to a Windows 2000 PC. The affected applications, said Microsoft, include two versions of ISS's RealSecure Desktop and three editions of its BlackICE anti-virus product… Sophos, for instance, only has a work-around for the problem its AntiVirus version 5 has with Windows 2000. In a document on the Sophos support site, it noted that "computers can take up to 15 minutes to log on to the network" and said the only solution at the moment was to exclude the file at "C:\winnt\system32\mswsock.dll" from anti-virus scans. Citrix also took a rollup hit…users saw only a blue screen when they tried to connect to their MetaFrame XP or MetaFrame Presentation Server 3.0 servers…"
