I have been asked by a friend to 'delouse' his computer … the problem is that it was so infested [he bought it from a friend who did not have a current anti-virus program running] that it will now not boot up even in any of the SAFE MODES. He ran the recovery disks to reformat the HD, but now attempting to load in SAFE MODE gets a message that the \system32\system.exe file has been corrupted. Of course the computer did not come with the original Installations Disks … Any suggestions? Thanks in advance. David :)
