Try it again please, the line that fix is supposed to clean is still in your log. Try looking for the files in C:\Windows and C:\Windows\System32
Hans, I finally got rid of the O9 line we were trying to get rid of :) Although I did it slightly differently. The spydel.reg file never did work. I finally opend up the file spydel.reg to see what registry entry it was trying to remove. I then used regedt32 to manually delete this registry entry. The next time I ran HiJack This, the line was gone. The HiJack This log shows the O9 line is gone and Nail is still gone. How does it look now? Does anything else look bad?

Hans, I removed the 3 lines you instructed. I posted the new HiJack This log below. What about the line:
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [MSMSGS] "C:\Program Files\Messenger\msmsgs.exe" /background
What is the msmsgs program and is it something that I need on my PC?

Thanks so much for all your help!

Hans, Was my last HiJack This log clean? I plan to re-install Zone Alarm tonight and finally start using the PC again. Hopefully, Aurora does not come back. Is there anything else that needs to be fixed? Thanks again for all your help.
Yes, your log was clean :)

Here are some tips, to reduce the potential for spyware infection in the future, I strongly recommend installing the following applications:
  • Spywareblaster <= SpywareBlaster will prevent spyware from being installed.
  • Spywareguard <= SpywareGuard offers real-time protection from spyware installation attempts.
  • How to use Ad-Aware to remove Spyware <= If you suspect that you have spyware installed on your computer, here are instructions on how to download, install and then use Ad-Aware.
  • How to use Spybot to remove Spyware <= If you suspect that you have spyware installed on your computer, here are instructions on how to download, install and then use Spybot. Similar to Ad-Aware, I strongly recommend both to catch most spyware.
To protect yourself further:
  • IE/Spyad <= IE/Spyad places over 4000 websites and domains in the IE Restricted list which will severely impair attempts to infect your system. It basically prevents any downloads (Cookies etc) from the sites listed, although you will still be able to connect to the sites.
  • MVPS Hosts file <= The MVPS Hosts file replaces your current HOSTS file with one containing well know ad sites etc. Basically, this prevents your computer from connecting to those sites by redirecting them to 127.0.0.1 which is your local computer
I also suggest that you delete your Temp folders regularly. Use CleanUp! to do this automatically for you!
