oh and my computer seems to be running much smoother now and the hijacking seems to have stopped. I did get those few alerts of infection today and quarantined them but things are 1000 times better. mousehs is still showing up in the hijack this log.
Open HijackThis, click on Config, then Misc Tools, and then press the Delete an NT service.. button. When it opens you should then enter the service name mousehs and press OK.
it wont let me delete it. its registered as a service process protected by windows. It says i can only stop it from the services dialog in the Administrative tools window. then reboot. i dont see the area to do this
click Start> Run> type in CMD tap enter

type the following from a command prompt:

sc delete mousehs

Back at the command prompt: type exit.

Lets see if that works.
:D

If you dont have these three programs I would recommend that you get them. Spywareblaster, Spywareguard and IESPY AD. They will add 1000's of sites to your resticted zone and block some hijacks from happening. I also have a FREE FIREWALL and FREE ANTI VIRUS if you need one.

It is critical to have both a firewall and anti virus to protect your system.

Keep your system up to date and run Adaware & Spybot, once a week works, and hopefully you will be ok from here on. Both are available below.

Safe Surfing. :D
things seem to be running great now. anything that came up after the format seems to have been resolved with the AntiScum software. AVG did detect some of my backup CDs as infected with parite so i threw them out but i got everything i wanted i think. thanks a ton and keep up the good work! :P
Great job

You're more then welcome.
Glad we were able to help :wavey:
