I'm running an XP with a Pentium 4 3GB and 512 mem, one of 4 computers on a Linksys router using cable. The problem is that some pages come up almost immediately; other pages, like now when I'm trying to run an anti virus program, the pages just aren't coming up, or whenthey've run 100% the page is blank. In another thread I posted HJT log; but I'd like to be ableto run the antivirus programs. The other computers for the most part are okay, and aren't experiencing the slowness or the blank web pages. The browser I'm using as my default is MyIE2. When I was having problems I switched to IE, but IE drew a blank as well on each of the pages. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

you might try clicking (in IE)on the refresh button to update the cache. and aslo clear it: Internet Explorer version 5.0, 5.5, 6.0: 1. On the Tools menu of your Internet Explorer toolbar, click Internet Options. 2. Click the General tab. 3. In the Temporary Internet files area, click Delete Files, then click OK. 4. Click OK to close Internet Options. iam not familiar with MyIe2 browser

Hi Shelf life, MyIE2 is a really neat browser that has all sorts of neat add ons that IE doesn't have, like "Group", so that you can save all the sites that you've been to, and then recall them whenever you want. It also has a side bar with google, dictionaries, etc., They've changed the new version to Maxthon, but I like the old version better. Sam Bass at PCWorld recommended it, and I got it. It also has AdHunter and Popup killers, etc. Thanks for the suggestion which I followed. In the meantime I was able to get AVG 7, and ran it, but no viruses turned up. I was able to get Trend's page to come and clicked on the download, but the update will only process to 72% and then cuts out over and over. :wavey: Thanks again!
