I can no longer check my hotmail e-mail on this computer due to re-directions to other sites (sp-servers.com et. al.). Other sites work perfectly normal (i.e. google searches, gmail, etc.); I don't even have problems with any pop-ups. Just hotmail doesn't work. I have used updated versions of Adaware, Spybot Search&Destroy, Microsoft AntiSpyware, CWShredder, SpySubtract, BHO Demon, and McAfee Virus Scan Enterprise 7.0.0. None of these got rid of the bug. Can anyone help? Here is my HiJackThis.log file:

Thanks for posting the new log.

Hmmm… don't see too much wrong with your log… a couple entries to fix…

I need you to disable Microsoft's Real Time Protection, SpySubtract, and BHODemon for now as they may interfere with the fix.

Run and scan with HijackThis. With all other browsers and windows closed, place a check beside the following and fix:

R3 - Default URLSearchHook is missing
O1 - Hosts: 216.93.174.28 view.atdmt.com
O3 - Toolbar: (no name) - {2CDE1A7D-A478-4291-BF31-E1B4C16F92EB} - (no file)
O3 - Toolbar: SnagIt - {8FF5E183-ABDE-46EB-B09E-D2AAB95CABE3} - C:\Program Files\snagit\SnagItIEAddin.dll (file missing)

If you dont use Spyware Doctor anymore, you can fix this line too:

Good to hear! Glad I was able to help!

A fix is a fix… whether it is easy or not. :D

Now… some suggestions….

To clean up any remnants that may have been left behind, I suggest doing a couple online virus scans. A couple good ones are Panda ActiveScan and TrendMicro HouseCall. Let them fix anything they find. Reboot between each scan.

Visit this page for proper configuration of Spybot and Ad-Aware. Run and scan with both, letting them fix whatever they find. Remember to reboot between each scan.

I recommend downloading and installing SpywareBlaster, SpywareGuard, and IE-SPYAD as well. You can get them from the links in my sig. The programs are free and can be updated… so please do so. Installing these will go a long way in preventing reinfection.

If you don't have one, I recommend installing a Firewall. I'm sure you've heard of ZoneAlarm.

Other than that, remember to update Windows frequently, update your protection programs, scan often and…
