Thanks for your help!~
Hello big_squirt282 and welcome to TomCoyote. :wavey:

You have a Lop.com infection - to remove it follow the directions below.

Click Start Select Control Panel
double click Add/Remove Programs
look for any of the following, and uninstall them:

Window Search
Window Searching
Lop.com
LOP SEARCH
Browser Enhancer
Ultimate Browser Enhancer

IMPORTANT!!!
you may find entries similar to the above but with Weird spacing in the names.

They are Lop.com, uninstall them.

You may be given a code to insert, do so and reboot when done.

Move HijackThis to Permanent Folder:
You are running HijackThis from a Temp directory. These are cleaned up on a regular basis thus the program will be removed.
  • Go to Start > My Computer > and double click on C:.
  • Now right click an open area and click New > folder and change the folder name to HJT.
  • Move HijackThis from the Temp folder into this new folder.
Scan with HijackThis and post the new log as a reply to this thread.
Thanks for your assistance alsocom - much appreciated. I have reveiwed mentioned programs in the add/remove programs. Nothing referring to thoses names mention. I recognise all the programs listed there. As suggested, I have moved HJT to its own directly, and here is the reposting of the log file.

You are still running HijackThis from the Temp folder. These are removed as part of the cleaning process which means HijackThis will also be removed.
Please follow the instructions from my previous post to move HijackThis to a permanent folder.

Step 1
Open HijackThis, run a scan, then check the following:

R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Toolbar,LinksFolderName =
O2 - BHO: AcroIEHlprObj Class - {06849E9F-C8D7-4D59-B87D-784B7D6BE0B3} - C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 7.0\ActiveX\AcroIEHelper.dll
O3 - Toolbar: (no name) - {BA52B914-B692-46c4-B683-905236F6F655} - (no file)
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [64 Mags Lies Mail] C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\creative htm 64 mags\SIGN PING.exe
O18 - Protocol: intu-res - {9CE7D474-16F9-4889-9BB9-53E2008EAE8A} - (no file)

With all other programs and browsers closed, click fix checked.

Step 2
Please set your computer to show all files.
  • Double-click My Computer.
  • Click the Tools menu, and then click Folder Options.
  • Click the View tab.
  • Clear "Hide file extensions for known file types."
  • Under the "Hidden files" folder, select "Show hidden files and folders."
  • Clear "Hide protected operating system files."
  • Click Apply, and then click OK.
You will need to reverse this process when all steps are done.

Step 3
Please delete the following folder:

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\creative htm 64 mags

Step 4
Reboot normally and scan with HijackThis. Post the new log as a reply to this thread.
Please let us know of any complications you had and how the computer is behaving.
Everything seems to be working fine now and THE BLUE BAR IS GONE!!!! Thanks So much for all your help!

Your new log is clean. :)

Reset and Re-enable your System Restore to remove bad files that have been backed up by Windows. The files in System Restore are protected to prevent any programs changing those files. This is the only way to clean these files: (You will lose all previous restore points which are likely to be infected.)

1. Right-click My Computer, and then click Properties.
2. On the System Restore tab, put a check mark in the 'Turn Off System Restore' check box.
3. Click OK twice, and then click Yes when you are prompted to restart the computer.
4. Repeat steps 1 - 2, this time clearing the box beside 'Turn Off System Restore'

I suggest that you get these programs to help keep the computer clean:

Spyware Blaster - Blocks bad ActiveX items from installing on your computer. Spyware Blaster runs silently in the background.
SpywareGuard - Real-time protection from spyware installation attempts
