Thanks for posting the new log.

You might want to uninstall Messenger Plus! 3. If you installed it with the Sponsor software, you definately want to uninstall it. If not, you should be ok. As I said… might want to uninstall it just to be sure.

Good Work!! Your latest log looks CLEAN!!

How is your computer behaving? Any of the previous symptoms?
I will check the messenger. Thanks! My computer is behaving great! Thanks! no popups since I did what you told me. I just ran adaware-SE and it only found Dyfuca (what's that!!??) here is the log. (note: I didn't run adaware today so it could be some leftover "damage") But look that it also shows istsvc!! Referencefile : SE1R42 28.04.2005 ====================================================== DYFUCA »»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»» obj[0]=Regkey : S-1-5-21-1993962763-562591055-839522115-1004\software\ist obj[1]=RegValue : S-1-5-21-1993962763-562591055-839522115-1004\software\ist "Recover" obj[2]=Regkey : software\istsvc obj[3]=RegValue : software\istsvc "app_name" obj[4]=RegValue : software\istsvc "popup_url" obj[5]=RegValue : software\istsvc "update_url" obj[6]=RegValue : software\istsvc "config_url" obj[7]=RegValue : software\istsvc "ui" obj[8]=RegValue : software\istsvc "popup_initial_delay" obj[9]=RegValue : software\istsvc "popup_count" obj[10]=RegValue : software\istsvc "popup_day_count" obj[11]=RegValue : software\istsvc "popup_day_limit" obj[12]=RegValue : software\istsvc "update_count" obj[13]=RegValue : software\istsvc "update_version" obj[14]=RegValue : software\istsvc "config_count" obj[15]=RegValue : software\istsvc "account_id" obj[16]=RegValue : software\istsvc "app_date" obj[17]=RegValue : software\istsvc "popup_interval" obj[18]=RegValue : software\istsvc "popup_last" obj[19]=RegValue : software\istsvc "update_interval" obj[20]=RegValue : software\istsvc "update_last" obj[21]=RegValue : software\istsvc "config_interval" obj[22]=RegValue : software\istsvc "config_last" obj[23]=RegValue : software\istsvc "version"
OK… those are leftover entries…. you can fix them, if you havent already.

Glad to hear your system is running good!

You get my All Clean speech now! :D

It's possible there may be some remnants left over we were not able to identify and get at with HijackThis. As such, I would like you to do a couple online Virus scans at Panda ActiveScan and TrendMicro HouseCall. Let them fix anything they find, rebooting your computer between each scan.

Visit this page for proper configuration of Ad-Aware and Spybot. Run and scan with both, letting them fix whatever they find. Remember to reboot between each scan.

And now that your computer is clean, its a good time to reset your System Restore point. This will ensure a clean backup to fall upon if you ever need it. To do this:

1. Right-click My Computer, and then click Properties.
2. Click the System Restore tab.
3. Check the "Turn off System Restore" or "Turn off System Restore on all drives"

Reboot your computer, follow the steps above, this time unchecking the "Turn off System Restore" and reboot.

I recommend downloading and installing SpywareBlaster, SpywareGuard, and IE-SPYAD as well. You can get them from the links in my sig. The programs are free and can be updated… so please do so. Installing these will go a long way in preventing reinfection.

Other than that… remember to keep Windows updated, your protection programs updated, scan often and…

Surf Safe.
Thanks "papa" for the speech. I will do all this later tonight or tomorrow. I will let you know how was it. Thanks inmensely again. You where very nice and patient. Karen.
