Hi Reelalistic, and welcome to TomCoyote!

I'm 'KotaGuy, and I will be helping you with your HijackThis log.

You may want to print my instructions out for reference during the fix.

Please move HijackThis to its own folder and out of the Temp Directory so it can create the backups it needs to.

Download and install CCleaner. Don't run it yet.

If you haven't done this… uninstall Spyware Cleaner. It is not a reputable program. See this page for more information.

Make sure no files will be hidden. To do this:

1. Click Start.
2. Open My Computer.
3. Select the Tools menu and click Folder Options.
4. Select the View Tab.
5. Under the Hidden files and folders heading select Show hidden files and folders.
6. Uncheck the Hide protected operating system files (recommended) option.
7. Click Yes to confirm.
8. Click OK.

Run and scan with HijackThis. With all other browsers and windows closed, place a check beside the following and Fix:

O3 - Toolbar: AdwareFilter - {1028F737-81E7-452B-A860-E50CAD90A08C} - C:\Program Files\AdwareFilterToolBar\AdwareFilter.dll (file missing)

Boot into Safe Mode. To do this:

1. Reboot your computer.
2. Tap the F8 button as your computer is booting to bring you to the Advanced Options Menu.
3. Select Safe Mode and press Enter.

Search for and delete this folder:

C:\Program Files\Spyware Cleaner

Search for and delete this file:

C:\WINDOWS\System32\vbsys2.dll

Browse to your C:\Windows\Prefetch folder. Delete all the files in the folder, do not delete the folder itself. Empty your Recycle Bin. Run CCleaner.

Reboot Windows normally and post a new log please.
My new log. And I haven't got a pop-up this time! Thanks!

Good Work!! Your latest log is CLEAN!!

A note about Flash Hunter… its possible this program may serve up banners/ads. I haven't read anything real bad about the program, just that it may do this. I read this on softpedia.com and at download.com. Seems the free version uses Ads. Haven't read that about the paid for version. So depending on which version you have, you may want to uninstall it.

You might want to do a couple online scans… they might pick up something HijackThis can't. Panda ActiveScan and TrendMicro HouseCall are a couple good ones. Let them fix anything they find. Reboot between each scan.

Next, download and install Ad-Aware and Spybot S&D. Visit this page for proper configuration. Run and scan with both, letting them fix whatever they find. Remember to reboot between each scan.

After that reset your System Restore Point. This will ensure a nice clean backup to fall upon if you ever need it. To do this:

1. Right-click My Computer, and then click Properties.
2. Click the System Restore tab.
3. Check the "Turn off System Restore" or "Turn off System Restore on all drives"

Reboot your computer, follow the steps above, this time unchecking the "Turn off System Restore" and reboot.

Along with Ad-Aware and Spybot, you might also want to look into installing SpywareBlaster, SpywareGuard, and IE-SPYAD. You can grab them from the links in my sig. The programs are free and can be updated, so please remember to do so. Installing these will go a long way in preventing reinfection.

If you don't have a Firewall installed, I suggest installing one. I'm sure you've heard of ZoneAlarm.

Other than that… keep Windows updated, keep your protection programs updated, scan often, and…

Surf Safe!
Glad I was able to help! :D
