Yeah!!! Good job, there are other ways to get LOP, but anytime I see it again I am always gone to ask if the user had downloaded MessPlus and removed it because they saw the bar and think that will get rid of it.

Look like we may have a clean log, please supply me with the information about the notpad item: http://securityresponse.symantec.com/[removed] so I can be assured it is gone and won't be back.

The only item left is the 023: O23 - Service: distributed.net client (dnetc) - Unknown owner - C:\WINDOWS\system32\iosdt\iosdt.exe (file missing) and it looks like that file is gone. Let's be 100% sure. Follow the instuctions carefully in the following link to download and run Killbox. This is the line you will be pasting or typing into the Killbox to be sure: C:\WINDOWS\system32\iosdt\iosdt.exe
http://forum.malwareremoval.com/viewtopic.php?t=320

Then do this:
Click Start>Run, type services.msc into the Open: dialog and click the Ok button. In the Services window locate Windows Services (dnetc) and click on it to select it. Then click on the Stop button. In the Startup type dropdown choose Disabled. Click the Apply button and then the Ok button.
Next, click Start>Run, type cmd into the Open dialog and click the Ok button. Copy/paste the line below into the command prompt window and press the Enter key:

sc delete dnetc

Reboot your computer and post a new log.
Thanks…pskelley
hey phil,
yeh sorry i didnt tell you, i did get rid of that notpad file just fine so no problems there. here is a fresh log and it seems pretty good, but i have one minor problem still… When i run a spybot system scan, it comes up with an entry called "Wild Tangent" and i cant seem to get rid of it, even when i reboot and let spybot work before windows starts up, so i am completely confused on how to get rid of it :(. Oh well here is the log…

G'day mate, Pat yourself on the back, this log is clean and you did a great job with a severely infected log. I see nothing in the log about WildTangent. It could be something left from the removal of WT or some old game that you removed. It may also have to do with the 016 (DPF) Yahoo stuff you are running. Another possiblity is that Ad-aware or Spybot removed something WT and the other program is seeing it in the quarantine of the other. If, after what you allowed Spybot and Ad-aware to remove, your computer is running well, I would delete anything in the restore or quarantine of those programs. I would also suggest you do a search for "WildTangent" and if anything is located, navigate to it and delete it. I hope this helps. Now, since we have a clean computer, here is some great information from Tony Klein, Texruss, ChrisRLG and Grinler to help you stay clean and safe online:
