Do you know how to use Regedit?

Click Start> Run> type in Regedit tap enter. look for these.

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT
\CLSID\{FB7199AB-79BF-11d2-8D94-0000F875C541}\InProcServer32

In the right-hand pane, double-click on the (Default) value and delete whatever is entered there, leaving it blank. Click OK. Now perform exactly the same step with the key directly underneath, namely

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT
\CLSID\{FB7199AB-79BF-11d2-8D94-0000F875C541}\LocalServer32

Once both (Default) values are empty, OE will open normally
I know this may sound silly but what do I type in? I can't tell how much of the - regedit tap enter- to type, regardless I get an error message. I also did all the other stuff and was going to run a new log for you but decided to try my e-mail first to see if it would work. No luck. Just like before. But I'll try editing the registry if you tell me what to type. Thanks.
Thanks, I got in but I know the registry is sensitive and I don't want to screw up so here's what I have. When I find the code that you ask for this is what it shows (for InProcServer 32): Edit String: Value Name: (empty) Value Date: C\ProgramFiles\Messenger\msgsc.dll For LocalServer32: Edit String: Value Name: (empty) Value Date: C\ProgramFiles\Messenger\msgsc.exe Are you asking me me to delete any of this?
This is a new log file after running Cleanup.

I just tried to get into Outlook Express and same problems. Messages don't come through in a reasonable period of time and when they do there is no sender name, no subject, and finally no message.
Lets use windows sfc (system file checker) You'd need your XP CD to make this work.

Click Start> Run> type sfc /scannow
(Note that there is a space between sfc and /scannow)

This will repair any bad windows files
