My Browser Has Fallen And It Can't Get Up

Ok, not sure if I'm posting this right but I'm pretty desperate… my startpage has been hijacked to about:blank and I can't reach links from websites without getting a "cannot find server message" or another hijacked search page. SO my log is below… I've done scans with ad-aware and spybot s&d, and they are both ironically congratulating my on my system being clean. I see suspicious a-doings transpiring, but I don't want to do anything to make it worse.
THANKS!

This is what I suggest you do.

Download CWShredder from my signature below. Unzip it on the desktop.
Open CWShredder and with ALL other windows closed, click fix.

Go here and run at least one of the online scans, allow them to delete whatever they find:

TrendMicro HouseCall
eTrust AntiVirus Web Scanner
Panda ActiveScan
Note any thing that can't be fixed
Reboot when done.

Next:

Even if you've already run these, make SURE they're up-to-date and run per instructions.

Make sure you have the up-to-date versions of Spybot V 1.3 and Ad-aware SE Build 1.05 . All are free and available below.

Download Spybot, install and update. Then download Ad-aware, install, and update.

Spybot:

Install the program and launch it.

Go to Start > Programs >Spybot > Search & Destroy and choose Spybot S&D

Close ALL windows except Spybot S&D
Click the button to "Search for Updates" and download and install the Updates.
Next click the button "Check for Problems"
When Spybot is complete, it will be showing "RED" (RED) entries "BLACK" entries and "GREEN" (GREEN) entries in the window
Put a check mark beside the RED (RED) entries ONLY.
Choose "Fix Selected Problems" and allow Spybot to fix the RED (RED) entries.

Ad-Aware FULL SCAN:

Install the program and launch it.

First in the main window look in the bottom right corner and click on Check for updates now then click Connect and download the latest reference files.

From main window :Click Start then under Select a scan Mode check Perform full system scan.
Next deselect Search for negligible risk entries.
Now to scan just click the Next button.

When the scan is finished mark everything for removal and get rid of it.(Right-click the window and choose select all from the drop down menu and click Next)

Empty Recycle Bin

Reboot and "copy/paste" a new log file into this thread.
Also please describe how your computer behaves at the moment.
Ok… CWShredder and SpyBot both came up clean… AdAware found 19 tracking cookies. TrendMicro House call found only one thing, and it was uncleanable because it was "currently in use":

Troj Holax.A (c:\windows\system32\ms0b92ob.dll)

The problem with my computer is that the start page keeps changing to "about:blank" (which comes up as a "search" engine), and no matter how many times I go into options to change this, it just keeps redirecting. Also, when I go to a page, say www.nytimes.com or whatever and click on a link, another search page comes up… or I get "cannot find server". When the search page comes up, if I hit the back browser button I can usually get to the page I intended to open. if the "cannot find server" message comes up, if I hit "reload" twice, it usually comes up.

Also, there is an icon in my task bar… a Q, for "quicktime" but i dont know what it is, and i dont remember installing it. yesterday there was another icon as well, something like vm media that wanted me to update, but i didnt know what that was either. here is my log…but i dont know how different it will be, since my scans are coming up mostly clean. THANKS!

Hiya… so when I searched for C:\program files\viewpoint\viewpoint manager\viewmgr.exe in Safe Mode, I got a message that said it refered to a location that is unavailable, that it had been changed, or that my disks may not be inserted properly. The other stuff was not found, so thats good.

When I did the final reboot of my computer I got a message that the following things could not run because ms0b920b.exe could not be found:

msnmsgr.exe
psfree.exe
syntpenh.exe
hkcmd.exe
igfxtray.exe
mmtask.exe
gwmdmmsg.exe
syntplre.exe

So the internet problem is fixed… but now none of the programs mentioned in the opening messages when i rebooted will start….
Here's what they are. You might not even use most of these,

msnmsgr.exe
psfree.exe
syntpenh.exe
hkcmd.exe
igfxtray.exe
mmtask.exe
gwmdmmsg.exe
syntplre.exe

msnmsgr.exe MSN Messenger utility. If you don't use MSN Messenger, this can be annoying. Available via Start -> Programs. Go to MS Messenger > Tools > Options > Preferences and uncheck "Run this program when Windows starts"

PSFree.exe Pop-Up Stopper Free from Panicware. Pop-up blocker integrated into the IE toolbar. Note that the Pro version doesn't load in startup as it is installed as an Internet Explorer toolbar. Can cause problems with IE if you use WinXP and uninstall Service Pack 1. Uninstalling the software leaves it in the startup group

SynTPEnh = C:\Program Files\Synaptics\SynTP\SynTPEnh.exe
syntpenh.exe Synaptics touchpad tray icon. Displays status and provides quick launch to touchpad features such as scrolling and tap zones. Required on IBM Thinkpads with UnltraNav (pointstick and touchpad combo) if you don't want to loose the advanced pointstick features such as scroll

hkcmd.exe Installed by the Intel 810 and 815 chipset graphic drivers. If you want the Ctrl Alt F12 or similar keypresses to access Intel's customised graphics properties, you need it, otherwise not. Can be disabled via the Display Properties in Control Panel

igfxtray.exe Quick access to the control panel via a System Tray icon for graphics based upon the Intel chipsets (ie, i810). These chipsets are often included on motherboards. Available via Start -> Settings -> Control Panel

mmtask.exe Part of MusicMatch Jukebox - digital music player / CD burner and ripper / music organizer / playlist creator

GWMDMMSG.exe Used with internal modems on Gateway and vprMatrix PCs. This is the "GTW modem messaging applet" and is not required for the modem to work correctly

SynTPLpr = C:\Program Files\Synaptics\SynTP\SynTPLpr.exe
syntplpr.exe Synaptics touchpad driver helper. Required for touchpad features to work
