Pop Ups Open Even When Ie Closed.

Even without IE open, pop ups occur sometimes several minutes apart. Here is my log and thanks in advance

Let me also note that I have run Ad-Aware, SpyBot, M$ AntiSpyware and Xoftcopy. The pop-ups are fewer but still arrive every few minutes.

Well, I have messed with this on and off all weekend and as I write this the problem seems to have (I hate to jinx it) been eradicated.

Make sure that you have no browser windows open as this could prevent the fix from working properly. Open HijackThis, scan and when complete, remove the following entries by checking the box to the left and clicking 'fixed checked':

R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Connection Wizard,ShellNext = wmplayer.exe
O2 - BHO: (no name) - {609F9167-2BAD-2475-82FC-544044ECFD9D} - C:\WINDOWS\System32\bssklfp.dll
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [qjtvel] c:\windows\system32\qjtvel.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [exp.exe] C:\WINDOWS\System32\exp.exe

Exit HijackThis when done. Reboot into Safe Mode by tapping F8 after the BIOS has loaded. Using Windows Explorer, find and delete the following:

c:\windows\system32\qjtvel.exe
C:\WINDOWS\System32\exp.exe

Exit Explorer and reboot into Normal Mode. Rescan with HijackThis and post a new log here.
