First, I would like to thank you folks at Tom Coyote; a wonderful service. My suggestion: I imagine you have some engine to run against the hijackThis logs: Is it possible to make that engine available somehow on your site; a way to submit the hijackThis logs and receive immediate evaluation? just a thought rgp

Sorry… They're all done by hand. The problem with automated checkers is that they are always out of date (Humans can go surf the net to find if something is good or bad), and therefore make a lot of false positives/negatives.
There are some automated tools that make our work analyzing logs easier, but they only help to make them easier to read, and faster formating replies. Most of the analysis is still based on the expertise of the helper. There are too many randomly named and new infections for the automated tools to work every time. We normally pickup where they leave off. There is no magic program that we're keeping to ourselves. ;)
