also this may not be related but when ever i shutdown my computer a window pops up for the END PROCESS "taskbar manager" i have to click end now in order for my computer to shut down…please help here is a copy of my most recent hijackthis log..it is short so i dont think i am in too much trouble…but trouble none-the-less.

well i am pretty sure i followed everything to the letter as you said. it still looks like there might be some poop left in there still…one thing i was not sure of in your spybot udate was what to DL..i did the update yesturday and when i clicked web update today it sadi no new updates. i also had previously DL adware SE yesturday too so there was no new updates avail for it either. also i could not find any files named D3pr.exe or msai.exe. i do remeber deleting them yesturday though so maybe the trojan has dropped new files in there?:(

here is my new log. things seem to be a bit better..i didnt get a critical window upon booting this time anyway…i will have to see if i still get that taskbar window problem when i shutdown though. one other thing too if you dont mind…the program file Quicktime that shows in my running processes, is it necessary? i dont use quicktime ever i dont think. but when i went into add/remove programs it suggested i dont remove everthing to do with it..but can i just delete it all?

PS> i sure will miss playing poker. is there anyway that i can keep that program? or should i just delete it all cause it caused this big mess of problems?
Partypoker is optional, if you want to keep it go ahead and keep it.

Just the one item remains, run Hijackthis place a check next to the following

O23 - Service: Network Security Service (%AF夶À¨) - Unknown owner - C:\WINDOWS\d3pr.exe (file missing)

Close all your Internet Browsers and click fix.

Just make sure that file is gone from your system.

Post a fresh Hijackthis log once complete.

There's just one more item, but I've got to create a file to remove it. I'll have it later on tonight.
well just my luck i tried to fix that file like five times it kept coming back…tried on safe mode and regular. now there is a new one that has poped up in the log..right at the bottom..the imapi.exe for a computer that doesnt have that much on it, it sure is being a serious PITA to get rid of..

Have you deleted the following file?
C:\WINDOWS\d3pr.exe <–completely gone from your system
well i think you got rid of this thing finally…couple things though..i unziped that supershell to my desktop.but none of the icons i clicked on started a program so i just went into reg edit and searched for the file you told me to. popped up a whole folder. i deleted it and then continued search and it was back again..i got really ticked off went into msconfig and in general clicked the selected boot thing and and only let the computer boot esseential files for running..rebooted then went into regedit again found the folder and deleted it, presto no return. i also got rid of my quicktime problem while i was in there. and here is my new log file i will post it then reboot in normal mode just to make sure it is gone. also when i searched the for the file you highlighted in previous post a file came up in the c:\windows\prefeth folder..it wasnt quite the same name but the file name contained the d3pr so it deleted it anyway. man i hope i am not screwing up my computer. here is the HJT log
