I didn't know if you wanted the full log or just the error log. The full log is huge, so I won't post it here. but I have it if you want. Let me know if you need it.

Here's the error log (lower pane):

I don't see lodmhhf, but if it comes up I'll zip it.

Thanks yet again!

That isn't as bad as it looks. :)
Most of the items are in your system restore and temp files. A few of your backups are also infected, so you will want to re-do those when the fix is complete.

Reboot the computer into Safe Mode (tap F8 during bootup, use arrow keys to select Safe Mode, then hit 'enter') and delete the following files:

C:\WINDOWS\BTGrab.dll
C:\WINDOWS\cpbrkpie.ocx
C:\WINDOWS\systb.exe
C:\WINDOWS\ZServ.dll
C:\Backups\Program Files-all.zip
C:\Documents and Settings\bsillito\My Documents\LonghornKids\gamesfree_416.exe
C:\Documents and Settings\bstillito\Desktop\backups\backup-20050308-124658-355.dll
C:\Documents and Settings\bstillito\Desktop\backups\backup-20050309-001314-964.dll
C:\tmp\w32-402.exe
C:\WINDOWS\BTGrab.dll
C:\WINDOWS\cpbrkpie.ocx
C:\WINDOWS\systb.exe
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\randreco.exe
C:\WINDOWS\ZServ.dll

Please delete your temporary files by deleting all files and folders that are in those folders (do not delete the temp folder itself) like for example
C:\WINDOWS\Temp\
C:\Temp\
C:\Documents and Settings\Every username\Local Settings\Temp\
Also delete your Temporary Internet Files (Start > Control Panel > Internet Options > Delete Files), be sure to also select delete all offline content.
Empty the Recycle Bin.

Reboot normally. I see that you are not running an antivirus program on your computer. Please download AVG7 from here. This is a free and highly recommended antivirus program. Install the program, check for updates and run a scan with it.

Let us know how the computer is working now.
Good Deal. I deleted the files listed, and installed the antivirus software. The Antivirus SW found 3 files, but took care of them, I'm guessing. I am still unable to install MS XP Security Updates. I think it was able to install the "Malicious software remover tool" or something like that this morning, but it still wouldn't install the security updates. Any ideas on that? Also, when I log in to the computer, it takes about 90 seconds for the "Loading personal settings" between putting in my password and when the desktop actually comes up. It seems longer than it used to be. Thoughts? Thanks again for all your help! Banyan
For the other issues, you can try PCPitstop as they are better suited for fixing software issues. Be sure to include a link to this thread so they can see that your computer is clean of malware.

Be sure to let us know if those pesky files come back on your computer. If they do we would like to receive a copy of them to check what they are.

Reset and Re-enable your System Restore to remove bad files that have been backed up by Windows. The files in System Restore are protected to prevent any programs changing those files. This is the only way to clean these files: (You will lose all previous restore points which are likely to be infected.)

1. Right-click My Computer, and then click Properties.
2. On the Performance tab, click File System, or press ALT+F.
3. On the Troubleshooting tab, put a check mark in the 'Turn Off System Restore' check box.
4. Click OK twice, and then click Yes when you are prompted to restart the computer.
5. Repeat steps 1 - 3, this time clearing the box beside 'Turn Off System Restore'

I suggest that you get these programs to help keep the computer clean:

Spyware Blaster - Blocks bad ActiveX items from installing on your computer.
SpywareGuard - Real-time protection from spyware installation attempts
ie-spyad - Puts over 8,000 bad URLs into your restricted sites for Internet Explorer.
Google Toolbar - Blocks many unwanted pop-ups in Internet Explorer.
Firefox - Safer alternative to the Internet Explorer web browser.

ZoneAlarm - Free firewall program if you currently are not using one.

Update these regularly.

You may also want to read "How did I get infected in the first place" to learn how to better secure your computer.

Be sure to keep Windows and your Anti-virus updated.
Thanks for the suggestions. I have installed the software you listed. For the System Restore, for the properties on My Computer, the instructions didn't match up to what I saw. There is a System Restore tab with a check box that matched your description so I checked that, rebooted, then unchecked it. I'm hoping that does the same thing. I'll try PCPitStop to try to get the updates going. A question for you - I have the Google toolbar installed, but we installed NetZero for a dial-up internet connection and it installed it's own toolbar. IE is confused - when I tell it to use the Google bar, it uses the ZeroBar, and vice-versa. Is there a way to fix that or should I just uninstall NetZero? Do you recommend the Zone Alarm firewall over the XP firewall? Thanks again. I really do appreciate the help you've been. -Banyan

You did it the correct way. I checked on my own computer and it is the same as yours.

Do you recommend the Zone Alarm firewall over the XP firewall?

Yes, the XP firewall only blocks traffic one way. ZoneAlarm will block unwanted traffic both outgoing and incoming.

You can try uninstalling and reinstalling them to see if that clears up the problem.
