Hello everyone,

I really appreciate the help that is given out here and hope you can help me out as well.
I have been having the following problems since yesterday and I have already tried adaware and spybot but they don't stop the problems.

*Homepage Hijack: Keeps changing the address to about:blank and takes it to another site.

*Popups very often…all warning me about spyware.

*Linking to different sites when I type the wrong address.

Hoping for some assistance and thanks in advance to anyone who can help.

Ahh that's a sneaky little trojan. I didn't look at the name of the file close enough. You do have a legit file in your C:\WINDOWS folder named rundll32.exe, however this file name is rundll.32.exe.

Please close any and all programs. CTRL+ALT+Delete Once and end the following task
C:\WINDOWS\RUNDLL.32.EXE

Run Hijackthis and place a check next to the following.

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [LoadProfile] C:\windows\Rundll.32.exe
O4 - Startup: folder.htt
O4 - Global Startup: folder.htt

now close all your internet browsers and click fix.

Navigate to your C:\WINDOWS folder and delete the following file.

File:
C:\windows\Rundll.32.exe
Picture_of_the_worlds_most_wanted_person.exe <–search for this file
folder.htt <–search for this file

NOTEPlease use extreme caution when deleting this file. DON'T Delete Rundll32.exe, this is a legit MS program needed by your computer. Only delete Rundll.32.exe, notice the . between rundll and 32

Now visit http://housecall.trendmicro.com/housecall/start_corp.asp and run their online virus scan.

Once complete post a fresh Hijackthis log.
Hey again,

Did all that but for some wierd reason my browser kept closing when I tried to run the trendmicro virus scanner.

I used another online virus scanner from Pandasoft instead and it did not detect any virus.

Here is the latest logfile:
