No. Click here to download CWShredder and run it, hit 'fix' as opposed to 'scan only'. Reboot when done.

Also, click here to download ServiceFilter, a little script by rand1038 that reveals potential unauthorised running services in your system. Download, unzip and double-click ServiceFilter.vbs (you may need to enable your antivirus program to run the file). This script will create a text file named Post_This.txt in the same folder as the script itself has been saved - copy and paste the contents of Post_This.txt in your next reply here.
I can't get that script to work, it claims i can't run from the zip file, even tho i've extracted the whole thing onto C: then deleted the zip? sigh…… merry x mas

My avg finds a Trojan in my System Volume Information, and says to run the AVG, but it is not removed.

How can i remove this trojan from my System Volume Information

i can't recall the name of the trojan, something like windows.bx  or somthing

Clear system restore and set a new restore point (you will lose all your previous restore points, some of which will be infected with the malware we removed).

A. Click Start>control panel>system
B. Under the system restore tab, place a check mark in the box next to "Turn off System Restore on all drives" and click "apply"
C. Reboot the computer
D. Repeat step A and uncheck the box selected in step B, click "apply", a clean restore point will be created automatically (no need to reboot again).

rescan with AVG and make sure all is good after following the above steps.
well, my comp still isn't back to normal, i've decided a format is in order, then i will take the necessary security measures. Thanks alot for yoru help, u may kill this thread addman
